What size scope do you prefer for astrophotography?
Most refractor users had scopes of 4 inches and under, with focal ratios from f/12 to f/15 and even higher. However, I wanted a 6 inch scope because this would be dual purpose, planets and deep sky. Plus, I liked the manageable exit pupil provided by a 6″ scope when used at magnifications over 200x.
