- Turning in a green or better quest.
- Guild group kills on dungeon and raid bosses.
- Guild group arena and rated battleground wins.
- Honorable kills (about 1 base reputation per 20 honor points from kills).
Does guild tabards give rep?
Wearing a guild tabard does not award guild rep. You automatically get guild rep from doing quests and killing bosses while in a guild group. Wear another reputation’s tabard to build rep.
What guild rep do I need to buy heirlooms?

Guild reputation can be gained by turning in quests, killing PvE bosses in a guild group, or PvPing in a guild group. In Mists of Pandaria, the weekly cap for guild reputation you can earn per week has been removed. Between this and the limit on daily quests being lifted, you can grind reputation out pretty quickly.
How do you gain guild experience?
Experience towards level progression was gained through guild member participation in raid boss kills, Rated battlegrounds victories, Arena victories, and completing quests/daily quests. To qualify for guild XP, a raid or PvP group must have been composed of at least 75% guild members.
